Well, if you know anything about me, one thing is for certain. I LOVE AEROSMITH!
I have been a fan since I was 10 years old and I will leave it up to your imagination to figure out how long that’s been. Be nice! 🙂
My very first rock concert was back in 1979 at The Capital Center in Landover, Maryland near Washington, DC! I still have my t~shirt and concert ticket! I will cherish it forever!
Our main man STEVEN TYLER had a birthday on March 26 and he is still a hottie! Check him out! 🙂
A little somethin’ somethin’ bout STEVEN TYLER!
Steven Tyler (born Steven Victor Tallarico; March 26, 1948) is an American singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, best known as the frontman and lead singer of the Boston-based rock band Aerosmith, in which he also plays the harmonica, and occasional piano and percussion. He is known as the “Demon of Screamin” due to his high screams and his wide vocal range.
He is also known for his on-stage acrobatics. During his high-energy performances, he usually dresses in bright, colorful outfits with his trademark scarves hanging from his microphone stand.
In the 1970s, Tyler rose to prominence as the frontman of Aerosmith, which released such milestone hard rock albums as Toys in the Attic and Rocks. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, Tyler had a heavy drug and alcohol addiction, and the band’s popularity waned.
He completed drug rehabilitation in 1986 and subsequently maintained sobriety for 12 years, but had a relapse with prescription painkillers in the late 2000s, for which he successfully received treatment in 2009.
After Aerosmith launched a remarkable comeback in the late 1980s and early 1990s with the albums Permanent Vacation, Pump, and Get a Grip, Tyler became a household name and has remained a relevant rock icon.
As a result, he has since embarked on several solo endeavors including guest appearances on other artists’ music, film and TV roles (including as a judge on America Idol), authoring a bestselling book, and solo work (including a Top 40 hit single in 2011).
However, he has continued to record music and perform with Aerosmith, after more than 41 years in the band. He is included among Rolling Stone’s 100 Greatest Singers.
He was also ranked 3rd on Hit Parader‘s Top 100 Metal Vocalists of All Time. In 2001 he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Aerosmith, and he was the presenter when AC/DC was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2003.
Steven was born in Yonkers, New York, the son of Susan (née Blancha, died July 2008), a secretary, and Victor A. Tallarico (died September 10, 2011), a classical musician and pianist.
His father was of Italian and German descent and his mother was of Polish and English ancestry. Her father from the Russian partition of former Poland changed his surname from “Czarnyszewicz” (from the Polish czarny ‘black’) to “Blancha” (from the French blanche or Spanish blanca ‘white’).
Tyler has stated that he grew up “under his father’s piano”, and that from what his father played, he got “that emotional thing” that he has with music.
When he was sixteen, he formed his first band, called The Strangeurs, later changed to Chain Reaction, where he was the drummer, and later the lead singer.
Tyler had also been part of a few local bands, like William Proud and The Left Banke. He was expelled from Roosevelt High School due to his drug use.
He graduated from the Leonard Quintano for Young Professionals School in 1967. He attended Woodstock with Joe Perry and Joey Kramer, his future Aerosmith bandmates.
FAMILY AND RELATIONSHIPS
Tyler had a brief relationship with fashion model Bebe Buell, during which he fathered actress Liv Tyler, born in 1977.
Buell initially claimed that the father was Todd Rundgren to protect her daughter from Tyler’s drug addiction. Through Liv’s marriage to British musician Royston Langdon, Tyler has one grandson, Milo William Langdon (born December 14, 2004, in New York City).
In 1978, he married Cyrinda Foxe,an ex-Warhol model, and the former wife of New York Dolls’ lead singer David Johansen, and fathered model Mia Tyler.
He and Foxe divorced in 1987; in 1997, she published Dream On: Livin’ on the Edge With Steven Tyler and Aerosmith, a memoir of her life with Tyler. Foxe died from brain cancer in 2002.
On May 28, 1988, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Tyler married his second wife, clothing designer Teresa Barrick.
With Barrick, he fathered a daughter, Chelsea Anna Tallarico (born March 6, 1989), and a son, Taj Monroe Tallarico (born January 31, 1992).
In February 2005, the couple announced that they were separating due to personal problems. In January 2006 the divorce was official.
Tyler has been in a relationship with Erin Brady since 2006. He became engaged to Brady in December 2011. (Source: Wikipedia)
His book: “DOES THE NOISE IN MY HEAD BOTHER YOU?”
The long-awaited, never-before-told, no-holds-barred memoir from the legendary Aerosmith frontman.
Finally, all the lurid tales of debauchery, sex, drugs and rock n’ roll are told straight from the horse’s lips as The Demon of Screamin’ describes his unimaginable highs and unbelievable lows as lead singer of the biggest rock band in the world.
Prolific frontman, rock icon and sex symbol, Steven Tyler is a living legend.
With his raw, sharp-edged vocals, musical versatility and unprecedented song writing skills, Tyler has, as lead singer of Aerosmith, sold millions of records and played sell-out concerts to as many as 450,000 people.
Now, at last, he tells his own story, taking us on a wild rollercoaster ride through the bust-ups, binges, orgies and good old American excess in the jaw-droppingly honest, in-your-face way that only Tyler can.
Following a fateful meeting with his ‘mutant twin’ Joe Perry in the summer of 1970, Aerosmith was formed!and the rest, as they say, is rock history.
They released their first album in 1973, and by 1976 Aerosmith had gone from being nobodies to massive to off the radar, making history as a multi-platinum, chart-topping band. But with great success comes great excess.
Nicknamed the Toxic Twins for their insatiable appetite for drugs, booze and women, Tyler and Perry got caught up in the glamour of self-destruction – smashing each other up with guitars, having seizures and passing out on stage.
By 1980 it seemed that the band and its members were set to implode, but after successful stints in drug rehab, Aerosmith were back on track and better than ever. But although he may have given up his wicked, wicked ways, Tyler still enjoys talking about the bad old days.
He has so many outrageous stories to tell, and he’s gonna tell them all.
All the uncensored, head-spinning tales of debauchery, sex, booze, transcendence and chemical dependence you will ever want to hear.
As raucous, intoxicating and edgy as his music, this is the most outrageous rock n’ roll autobiography of all time.

FROM HIS OWN SEXY LIPS!!!
“And the things that come to those that wait may be the things left by those that got there first.”
“As good as I am, I’m nothing without my band.”
“As you know, I’m androgynous. I can wear a jacket that most guys wouldn’t put on. But you make it in guys’ sizes, and suddenly they’re wearing them. I think styles should get back to getting people to wear things that look so good that they don’t care.”
“Back then it was nothing like today. So you’d go to the bowling alley. We bowled and you could be in the back and you could make out, you know? And you know how hot it was to make out.”
“But you’ve reached them, and I’ve always wanted to reach people. I’m the first one to say I love my fans because they love that I took a chance.”
“Drugs will get you out of your own way, but we lived it, and that’s dangerous. It can actually turn around on itself and steal your soul, and that’s what happened.”
“Every life has a measure of sorrow, and sometimes this is what awakens us.”
“Great melody over great riffs is, to me, the secret of it all.”
“Humility is really important because it keeps you fresh and new.”
